I DIG ON TWIG

How cool are these!  These fabulous terrariums made by creative duo Michelle Inciarano and Katy Maslow of Twig Terrariums, blur the lines of art, house plant, and antique collection.  They take new and old glass jars, vases, even things like light bulbs and perfume bottles, and turn them into little mossy kingdoms complete with your own cast of characters...

Mix up your in house accessories, do your self a favor, and buy one of these for your living room, kitchen, powder room, or wherever.  It will clean the air, look pretty, and make you smile every time you pass by!

If not, at least enjoy this beautiful photography!

BLOOMING

With spring right around the corner what could more delightful than these flora and fauna collages by artist John Murphy.  I came across these print collages at the Brooklyn Flea recently and found myself lingering at this booth flipping through these gorgeous and happy images.  My favorites are the octopus, the lama, and the elephant!

Of course I love the birds as well (I have this thing with birds), but that’s a given…

Enjoy!

You can find more collages and prints here, as well as John Murphey's revamped lacquered frames made specifically for his photographs.  the best part? You can afford it.  Why not start collecting art now? I know I will be adding to my collection!

P'S AND Q'S

On my most recent visit to the Brooklyn Flea Market this weekend, I stumbled across some amazing full sets of letter press blocks from dAN's Parent's House.  I love how they look together, and the layers of color from lots of love.

My partner in crime this weekend, Katherine (you can see me snapping this pic in the reflection!).  Always fun to scavenge while sipping Java Splits and munching brownies from Whimsey and Spice, with someone you have known for 24 years!

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend, enjoy this mellow rainy day, brew some tea, and cozy up with the New York Times... thats what I'll be doing.
