I DIG ON TWIG

How cool are these!  These fabulous terrariums made by creative duo Michelle Inciarano and Katy Maslow of Twig Terrariums, blur the lines of art, house plant, and antique collection.  They take new and old glass jars, vases, even things like light bulbs and perfume bottles, and turn them into little mossy kingdoms complete with your own cast of characters...

GLASS HALF FULL

Here's the thing about living in New York.  You can find beauty everywhere.  Even in the most destructive situations.  Its one of those moments in NYC when you are so fed up to your eyeballs with the smells, and the cold, and the filth, and the people, and then you stumble upon broken glass (literally) and instead of fear, or angst, or anger, its just serenity, and being surprised by the little tokens of beauty that are lurking, waiting to be discovered.
