PACK-IN' HEAT

So my friend Lucy is a GENIUS. I laughed OUT LOUD at some of these! Aren't they fabulous?  Lucy Pack: artist, cat lover, Texan turned New Yorker, best laugh ever, creative wonder... I love Lucy.  She works as an artist in New York City, painting, collaging, and more.  To see more of her work, visit her website, www.lucillepack.com. Cheers.

L'ORANGE

Why can't magazine covers be like this anymore?  Great colors and a subtle war critique.  Are those bullets falling on her head? hmmm... interesting.

She's so elegant.

CELEBRATE!

Well folks, I'm taking off for the weekend,  Happy Fourth of July!  I'll be gettin' down on the dance floor at a good friends wedding. "festive attire optional"... duh, I'll be there, in red, white, blue, and fringe cowboy boots, don't you worry.

Here's a little pink with your RWB today... I want that suitcase! You can find it on Etsy, along with the lighter fluid can, I just love old stuff.

MORE RWB

America's Birthday is gettin' close!

Plastica = Awesomeness.  I love their products, and I gave this to my boyfriend.
And, how bout those lips? RED!

AHOY!

Gorgeous. I think I'll wear both these things this weekend... wishing I was in Maine, eating lobster, and being nautical.

You can do the Nautical thing either way you want, don't forget the ice cream!  Can you tell Maine is influencing many of the posts? Its such an amazing place for inspiration...

Have a great weekend!

HAUS BEAUTIFUL

Had a lovely day strolling around Nolita yesterday (walking off our DELICIOUS brunch from La Esquina).  Always, a delight to pop in to Haus Interior... check out my iSnaps from yesterday!

Look familiar? See more about these trays here!

This mix of patterns is scrumptious.

O.H. loves horses! See more here.

I love how they painted canvases in different colors and grouped them to created a perfect wall display. Great way to create an interesting vignette IMO.

Chicks! We all know how I feel about birds.

Gearing up for this week! Stay tuned for more delightful things coming your way...

Thanks for stopping by!

CURATE: JAYSON HOME AND GARDEN

Monday, monday...

Whether to revamp your apartment or stock up on gifts, look no further.  From Chicago's Jayson Home and Garden, emporium for vintage goods, accessories, nick knacks, upholstery, and lots of lovely things, I've chosen my top favorites.  I have been loving this website/store for a year or two now, and they consistently have amazing things.  Enjoy!

JUST FINE

Who wouldn't want this on a wall? Especially here in the big city so you could dream of mountains all the day long.  Such simplicity, and I love the scale. These forms are so playful in a Where the Wild Things Are kind of way, perfect for a kids room...

Find it on Fine Little Day's Website. Along with more beautiful inspiration and other delightful treasure like...

FANCY FEATHERS

Is there anything more precious?

These boutonniere's from the Pomp and Plumage Etsy shop are fabulous!  They would be perfect for a country wedding (Carey Beth of Grace and Daisy Chains, hint hint!), or even to just tack up on the wall. So creative, beautiful, full of fantasy, and gorgeous styling too...

Maybe I can have some of these fashioned out of duck feathers for an upcoming Arkansas wedding I'll be attending... hmmm.

Don't worry brides, there are gorgeous things for you too!  See more at Pomp and Plumage.

Til some time soon...

ECO-BOW

For Tim's birthday, I crafted this bow out of old design magazines that were just taking up space in my tiny apartment.  I am so over paying for gift wrap these days, so I hang on to anything I can get my hands on... tissue paper, wallpaper samples, magazines, leather remnants, ribbon from shopping bags, grocery sacks, etc.

You can totally DIY and its good for the environment and your wallet.  Holla!

Check out my other crafty projects here. Hope you enjoy... and have a lovely weekend!

Love love love,

Avery

I DIG ON TWIG

How cool are these!  These fabulous terrariums made by creative duo Michelle Inciarano and Katy Maslow of Twig Terrariums, blur the lines of art, house plant, and antique collection.  They take new and old glass jars, vases, even things like light bulbs and perfume bottles, and turn them into little mossy kingdoms complete with your own cast of characters...

Mix up your in house accessories, do your self a favor, and buy one of these for your living room, kitchen, powder room, or wherever.  It will clean the air, look pretty, and make you smile every time you pass by!

If not, at least enjoy this beautiful photography!

To purchase, take a class, or look at more creations please visit Twig Terrariums’ Website. http://twigterrariums.com/

Cheers,

Avery
