EVER AND EVER

Such creative wedding invitations by Oh So Beautiful Paper. The copy and the design are great... anyone but the bride, I love it. My favorite is the big brown bag and yellow flowers!

Love these.  I need to get the My Morning Jacket poster for my collection. Found them here: My Morning Jacket, Eilen Jewell, Jolie Holland.

LOVE LETTERS

I rounded up a few AMAZINGLY RAD cards this year for Valentine's Day. Found'em at Ferdinand, the cool little shop here on Portland's Munjoy Hill.  I'm so excited! Don't you just love Valentine's day? My family has always been big celebrators of this holiday... Chocolate chip pancakes, homemade valentines, candy, pink outfit, the whole shebang.  So here is this year's loot, part one... Part two, and a post party wrap to come later this week.
I am currently obsessed with art tape.  I went to Rock Paper Scissors in Wiscasset to get one roll, and I walked away with seven, and the origami paper for more crafting, and the useless little gold arrow patches that I absolutely HAD to have (aren't they fabulous).  I'll find something great to do with them I'm sure... if only just to look at them every once and a while.
Anyway, I hope you and your sweetie have a lovely day, and if you ain't got a sweetie, go out and party please. Happy Vday y'all! I friggin love you.

BE FREE

I miss blogging!  I have been so busy moving and starting my new job, that I just haven't had a moment... I AM excited to get back into it though, that is for sure.  With all this change in the air and trying over and over again to fit a square peg in a round hole I've decided to just.... Let it go.  Right?

Print by Nan Lawson, find it here.  I bought one for myself to hang up as a daily reminder.

TODAY'S LESSON

I've been inspired by my dear boyfriend to make each day count as my time in New York dwindles.  He is so right... No regrets, get as much as I can out of this city, crank out some serious work, and spend time with those who have made it so amazing for me.  So for today I'll leave you with this...

CELEBRATE!

Well folks, I'm taking off for the weekend,  Happy Fourth of July!  I'll be gettin' down on the dance floor at a good friends wedding. "festive attire optional"... duh, I'll be there, in red, white, blue, and fringe cowboy boots, don't you worry.

Here's a little pink with your RWB today... I want that suitcase! You can find it on Etsy, along with the lighter fluid can, I just love old stuff.

GODSPEED

These are some of the coolest prints I have seen in a good long while.  Made for a cycling event, Studio on Fire used old bike parts to create letters that spell "Godspeed", an appropriate term for the speedy peeps.  Isn't it beauteous?

Read the rest here, and more from Studio on Fire on their blog Beast Pieces.

Hope you all had a restful and relaxing holiday weekend! Bring on the heat... NYC is feeling like a toaster oven recently.  I'm holding off the A/C as long as possible!

P'S AND Q'S

On my most recent visit to the Brooklyn Flea Market this weekend, I stumbled across some amazing full sets of letter press blocks from dAN's Parent's House.  I love how they look together, and the layers of color from lots of love.

My partner in crime this weekend, Katherine (you can see me snapping this pic in the reflection!).  Always fun to scavenge while sipping Java Splits and munching brownies from Whimsey and Spice, with someone you have known for 24 years!

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend, enjoy this mellow rainy day, brew some tea, and cozy up with the New York Times... thats what I'll be doing.
