Loving the images from this wedding; such wonderful styling. The little pots of succulents are so perfect for the setting. Photographer James Moes really captured the desert essence of this day, the light is spectacular. Man the southwest is so killer, some people don't appreciate this kind of beauty, but I think its sublime. I love her shoes most of all.
I honestly can't think of a better setting for a small-ish wedding, looks like a retro motel. I love wedding photography that doesn't actually look like cheesy wedding photography...great post!

HI Avery,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that I think you have a lovely blog here. Also read the NY Times article about you, and very impressed to read of how you pursued the firm you wanted to work for and eventually became a junior designer there! Kudos to you!
Anyway, love the stuff you curate here.

I appreciate this kind of beauty! I've only really seen the desert on a drive to California when I was a kid and I'd love to see it again.
ReplyDeleteWas at a wedding at the Ace just last year right around this time. It is a beautiful wedding destination - every picture was perfect.
ReplyDeleteAh, that last photo is just stunning. Oh my gosh, I'm with Bonnie. I just read the article about in the NY Times just now, and I was SO IMPRESSED. I actually went to school for interior design, but I'm pursing a career in the art field after tons of encouragement from my husband. Thank you so much for your interest in my little blog! Love the layout of yours!! I'm working on implementing a design for my blog, and I can't wait to get rid of its modge-podginess!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, so nice to meet you, Avery. :)
