The Amanda Nisbet Design team went on a field trip last week to Timberlake Studios in Chelsea. We were fitted for our super top secret surprise outfits, to be revealed on opening night of the 2011 Kips Bay Show House, of which we are SO excited to be a part of! Here is a hint: What does pink lemonade and the Amalfi Coast have in common?
I love how the dress forms are all piled up together... I wonder how many costumes have been created on these?
Here I am exploring the studio, and checking out some of the works in progress. Timberlake has designed costumes for countless Ballet Companies, Broadway and T.V. Shows, Operas, and more! Sarah Timberlake, owner and president of Timberlake Studios, was such a gem, and it was a real treat to see the studio, and experience this side of New York... (thanks Amanda!)
